What Singular is
Paid-ad attribution.
A mobile measurement partner (MMP) tells you which ad brought each install, reports it back to the ad network, and filters fraud.
- Built for
- Paid user acquisition
- Reports
- Installs and events by network, campaign and creative

The differences, in short.
From link to revenue
Each user carries the link that brought them in, through retention, messages and purchases.
Engagement included
Push, in-app, surveys and journeys run on the same data.
Flat, not per conversion
Free to 10K monthly users, then a flat yearly price. Singular charges per paid conversion as you grow.
What each one has that the other doesn't.
No tool does everything. Here's the honest list, both ways.
Singular has, grovs doesn't
- Paid-ad attribution across ad networks, with postbacks
- Ad spend and cost aggregation from ad networks
- ROI and creative-level reporting
- SKAdNetwork measurement and ad fraud prevention
grovs has, Singular doesn't
- Push notifications
- In-app messages and surveys
- Journeys across push, in-app and email
- Open-source core

- 1
Links on your own domain. Custom link domains are on Singular's Growth and Enterprise plans, not Free.
- 2
Self-hosted in your cloud. Singular Private Cloud, an Enterprise add-on, runs in a dedicated cloud environment, operated by Singular. You can't run it yourself.
- 3
Events written to your own database. Singular loads data into your warehouse through ETL (Snowflake, BigQuery, S3, GCS) and webhooks. ETL is an add-on on Growth, included on Enterprise.
Partial: some of it, with limits. Export: you can get the data out, but it isn't written to your database as it happens.

Which one fits.
Singular is good at what it does. Here is an honest split.
- You need ad spend, cost and ROI reporting across many ad networks in one place.
- Paid acquisition is your main growth channel.
- Your growth comes from links you send yourself.
- You want engagement tools, not only reports.
- The data has to stay inside your infrastructure.
Migration plan
Moving from Singular.
Most teams don't switch off an MMP on day one.
Stays with Singular
- Paid-ad attribution and postbacks
- Fraud protection
- Historical data (export it first)
You'll need
- An app release with the grovs SDK
- A subdomain for your links
Moves to grovs
Owned-channel links
Email, SMS, QR and web links, on your own domain
Attribution for those channels
Installs and revenue per link and campaign
Analytics and messaging
Push, in-app and journeys on the same data
Going back: Nothing to roll back: both run side by side until you decide.
The steps
- 1Your team
Add the grovs SDK next to it
Singular's SDK keeps running.
Your teamHow it works
Both can measure the same app.
- 2Your team
Set up your own link domain
Create grovs links on a subdomain you control, for email, SMS, QR codes and your website.
Your team - 3Your team
Switch your owned channels
Update email, SMS and print templates to grovs links.
Your teamHow it works
Paid campaigns stay on the MMP.
- 4Together
Compare the numbers
Run both for a few weeks and compare installs per channel.
TogetherHow it works
We help you read the differences.
- 5Your team
Decide what stays
If most installs come from channels you own, you may not need Singular at all.
Your teamHow it works
If you buy ads at scale, keep it for that.
Plan the move with an engineer.
A call with an engineer who has done it before. You leave with a plan, not a sales pitch.
What the call covers
- Your current setup: SDKs, link domains, events and campaigns
- What moves, what you'd keep, and in what order
- Anything that needs an app release, so you can plan it
- A written plan afterwards, with the steps and who does each
Questions, answered.

Can grovs replace Singular?
For the channels you own (email, SMS, QR, web and referrals), yes. If most of your growth is paid ads across many networks, Singular's ad network integrations are something grovs doesn't do, and many teams keep an MMP for that.
What moves over from Singular?
Your tracking moves with the SDK, and you rebuild the reports and campaigns you use. History stays in Singular; export it if you need it.
Can we run grovs and Singular side by side?
Yes. Both SDKs can run in the same app while you move, so you can compare numbers before switching anything off.
How long does it take to move?
It depends mostly on your app release cycle: anything that touches links or push needs a new build, and users need to update before you switch. The migration plan above lists which steps need a release.
How does pricing compare with Singular?
grovs is free up to 10K monthly users, then a flat yearly price: $2,500 up to 250K and $12,000 up to 1M. Singular's pricing is free to 15k paid conversions, then $0.05 each.
Where does our data live?
On grovs Cloud, in the EU. Self-hosted, in your own cloud or data centre, in databases you run. grovs staff have no access to self-hosted data.
